Guodian designs converter for 1.5 MW turbines

Zhu Yongpeng, general manager of Guodian Group, notes that at present China has to import converters, the heart of wind turbines.

Rhe successful production of this converter, with full independent intellectual property, indicates that China has broken the foreign monopoly in this respect.

It is an important step towards domestic production of wind turbines, Zhu says.
