In order strengthen the communication of wind power integration technology and build better information exchange platforms between Government, state grids, power suppliers, the Research & Training Institution and manufacturers. Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH, German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, and Nuclear Safety (BMU), IAEW RWTH Aachen Unversity and China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPRI) will hold a workshop named “Wind Power Grid Integration”, a platform for thoroughly discussing the requirements grid integratio and the related wind power assessment and testing technology of wind turbine.

The introduction of the main content of the workshop:

1.       Instruments for the promotion of wind energy and its network integration in Europe

2.       Impact of the connection of offshore wind turbines to the transmission network

3.       Impact of the connection of wind turbines to the distribution network in Germany

4.      Methods for wind power forecast and their effects

5.      Economic evaluation of the impact of integrating wind turbines in the generation system

6.       Wind turbines testing technology
